What additional software do I need to purchase to run ResortPro?

Resort Pro is a 100% online based property management software. The only required hardware to run Resort Pro is a computer that has access to the internet. Some functions within the system allow the user to print various documents; a printer is recommended but not a requirement.

Resort Pro Software runs on all operating systems, some examples include, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X.

Many property management software companies are sold as standalone programs that run on your local PC. ResortPRO did extensive research before building the online software. ResortPRO found that there was too much overhead and downtime with systems that required local servers. The most important aspect of reservations is the ability to have the properties inventory available to the world at all times. Due to this requirement, ResortPRO felt that having a software product hosted on the internet through a reliability internet company would be the answer.

Many of ResortPRO’s consulting partners provided input into the benefit of a local software program versus an online solution. The biggest complaint with local software was the cost to maintain it. When dealing with servers, it creates an entirely new can of worms. A company is now dealing with potential hackers, computer issues, AND potential internet problems with connectivity to the local server.

With the advances in internet connectivity these days, internet access is nearly 100% reliable at most resorts, and hotels. This provides a reliability resource for managing your units via ResortPro.
